SPV 9310 and SPV 9320 are surface protection tapes suitable to protect rough and textured surfaces during light mechanical processes, storage and transportation. These tapes consist of a special PE film coated with a pressure sensitive acrylic-based adhesive.
Features
- Rough surface protection
- Low gloss surface protection (10 to 35%)
- Very high adhesion level
- Good wetting behaviour
- Good humidity resistance
- Substrate identification and inspection
- Stretching resistance film
- Recyclable
Application
SPV 9310 and SPV 9320 are ideal products to protect low gloss surfaces, like rough plastics and laminates. Furthermore it’s a perfect solution for rough and textured PVDF, PUR and polyester lacquered substrates. These tapes cover gloss levels varying from 10% to 35%. Typical gloss levels are as mentioned in following table. The selection of the suitable type according to the gloss can be influenced by the roughness of the substrate.
Characteristics
These products protect the substrate till the end of the supply chain against scratches and impurities. The pressure sensitive acrylic-based adhesive gives a very high adhesion level and makes it ideal for protection of surfaces with a gloss level between 10 to 35%. These tapes are available in 2 different adhesion levels: SPV 9320 has a higher adhesion level than SPV 9310. The pressure sensitive acrylic-based adhesive has a good humidity resistance and shows good wetting behaviour during application. The transparency of these tapes allows easy identification and inspection of the protected substrates. To prevent excessive stretching during unwinding and lamination, a special high modulus film is used. This results in a good adhering performance to rough surfaces.
